Combining brutal sounds and a high intensity stage performances, Darkness Descends is tearing their own path through the metal world while leaving an unforgettable mark in the minds of the people that hear them.

With fast punishing riffs, booming bass lines, dynamic drumming and fierce angry vocals with hard hitting lyrics, Darkness Descends has a unique sound and image. That uniqueness sets them apart from the generic mold that the bands of today seem to be following, attracting a diverse fan base from across the world.
They are deeply devoted to the music scene and to all there loyal fans who come out to shows to unleash their
frustrations caused by everyday life.

In the short time they have been together, Darkness Descends has played the Maryland Fall Brawl and the NEPA Metal Fest. Were 2 time winners of the East Coast Break Contest Battle of the Bands competing against over 600 bands. They have also played The Bamboozle Festival 2010 and 2011 at Giant Stadium performing on the Saints & Sinners Stage in 2011, Darkness Fest 2011, Spinestock 2011 as well as countless underground rock, metal and hardcore shows across the northeast attracting more and more fans at every show. They will be competing in the Break Contest again in 2012 and will be direct support for Possessed on their East Coast Tour

Throughout this journey they have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with various signed artists/acts such as Chelsea Grin, Born of Osiris, Veil of Maya, For Today, A Day to Remember, ICP, Attack Attack, Attila, Mark Rizzo of Soulfly, Bullet for my Valentine, Emmure, Psychostick, Whiplash, Waking the Cadaver, All out War and many, many more.
